Mother's Day Weekend.

I had a really good weekend.

I know Mother's Day is just one day.

But I received my FANTASTIC present early.

Thanks hubby!

We hung out with great friends on Friday.

Spent a some time with my mom and family on Saturday.

Worked the market on Sunday.

(sadly missed afternoon church because we packed up too late)

Had a lovely dinner, just me and hubby.  Thanks Oma and Opa.

My daughter told me Happy Mother's Day a couple of times

and I received my first mother's day artwork,

she made at Sunday School.

(She went to my parent's church while we worked the market)

Snuggling in bed with Kenzie and reading stories before bedtime last night.

I am blessed beyond what words can describe.

God gave me with the best job in the world!

Summer time is coming

Some bubble blowing.

Our baby rose bush Hubby planted recently.

Pretty toes for this perfect weather. The color is called 

'Sea Breeze'.. just puts you in the mood for a day at the beach

doesn't it?

The park is almost next door to our house.

Which really is going to rock on these spring-summer evenings.

A lovely Sunday.

After church,

we had a yummy lunch

and headed out to the IMAX at Fair Park.

We saw Alaska : Spirit of the Wild

Afterwards we walked around a bit,

and took a ride on the paddle Swans.

Which I've actually never done,

even with the many years we've been coming to

the museums, and to the State Fair every year.

Of course I'm a loser & forgot

to throw my camera in my purse...

so a few iphone pictures will have to do.

It was a great family fun day.

Perfect, in fact.

Blue Bonnet Love.

I adore blue bonnets.

I look forward to them each year.

And they typically bloom around Easter.

But because of our freak snow storm this year.

They're popping up a bit later than normal.

I finally forced David to pull the car over on 

our way back from San Antonio, so I could grab a few shots

... it was a little wet, and fixing to storm again, 

so I very sadly, did not get any shots 

of McKenzie with them.

Flowers just make my heart happy.

San Antonio

Hubby had to work in San Antonio again,

last minute, I decided that Kenzie and I 

would join him on the trip.

I made a wonderful decision.

We stayed at a beautiful resort.

With the most fantastic service,

The people were THE most helpful & friendly

I've come across EVER. 

We ate here on the way:

Had the patio to ourselves.

and a peaceful view.
