Birthday Strawberries.

We got chocolate covered strawberries
instead of cake.
They were Delish!

I loved the imprint the strawberry left on the chocolate :)

Three

Happy 3rd Birthday to my baby girl!
I can't believe you're three.
Time has flown so fast... too fast.
You are becoming such a funny, beautiful and smart little girl.

Kenzie: "I'm three!?  I'm not two anymore?
Me: "Nope you're not two anymore"
Kenzie: "I'm three! I'm three! I'm three!"

On my doorstep.

 GOODIES!

They're so lovely,
and I know
that as soon as I open up the pages of either one,
I won't be able to put it down
until I've scoured through it at least two times.

Thanks to my mother in law
for the awesome amazon gift card.
The rest of it is burning a hole in my
'virtual pocket', so more goodies
may be showing up very soon :)

Backyard Petting Zoo.

After church and lunch today
we headed to Miss. Rea's birthday party.
A backyard petting zoo, cake and presents.
We all had one stinkin good time.
And by the end of it, I'm pretty sure we all smelled
of sweat and animals.
So worth it.

My crazy face is saying, Hubby please hurry up and take this picture.
This pig is not smiling it is squealing LOUDLY.
And I wanted badly to put the poor thing down, but desperately wanted a picture.
He got some fun ones. :)

Be back with more....

Birthday Fun.

We celebrated Jyme Beth's birthday today.
(a little late, her birthday was actually the 18th)

(please continue to excuse my sad photos, as I have
still not been able to find my charger)

This is her St Patricks Day Tree.

We made little rings I saw on Martha.
Ate yummy food.
& Chatted.

And had cake.
the cake was not homemade.
My cake I made had a small problem
that turned into a bigger messier problem
and eventually I decide just to run to the store
and hope to find a pretty cake.

thank you Target for
not disappointing me.
And I got to use my blingy cake stand :)

I really enjoyed getting to hang out
with some good friends today.

Texas State Fair, Oh how I Love you.

Yesterday was my birthday,
and I had THE BEST day.

My hubby got me a polaroid instant camera
I've been dying to have one!
Pictures to come.

And we went to the fair,
it was an overcast, cool day
only sprinkled a little...
and best of all...
the crowds were sparse :)

I've got lots more pictures to share.
And overdue posts about Kansas....
More soon.

.... still so busy

I'm still busy.
Still all consumed with 1st birthday party plans.
I'm trying to complete new pieces for the shop, but it's super slow at this point.

Did a photo shoot of McKenzie today with my lovely friend Erin.
She was so kind to offer to come help me...
so I didn't have to settle for some small portrait studio I don't want to use.
(money is tight)

It went so much better than expected.
There were balloons and laughter.
And the photos turned out super cute...
if I do say so myself.

This is from the end of the shoot, walking back to the car...
it's all that I can show due to family and friends reading my blog
I don't want to spoil any cuteness (full outfit or pictures) before the party.
...all my favorites will be posted next week.

I've gotta finish up favors and other such things.
And later on this week,
friend Jessica is offering up her creativity
and helping me with McKenzie's cake.

I leave you with the adorable cake she made
for her sister's baby shower this past weekend....

So busy...

I've been super busy lately.
Getting new pieces done for the shop.
Last minute invitation crafting.
Party prep.
And of course trying to soak up and enjoy the remaining weeks of my daughter's first year.

I'm a mushy person, and an even sappier mother.
I've been brought to tears by party preparation, thoughts of party day, moments of remembering her birth and those first weeks, and just watching her and the way her 'play' and interaction with us and others has changed.
She's just growing so fast!

.... Friday Feature will resume next month, and maybe another giveaway too!

Have a peek!

           Merry Christmas Eve!

The Christmas presents are all wrapped
and snug under the tree.

So this is what I've been up to today...
just one more little peek...

.... I'll reveal the entire project after the new year! :)

Tonight we have David's dad coming over
for dinner and to celebrate Christmas with him.

Then Christmas Eve Service at church....
which is probably my all time top favorite thing
to do as part of my Christmas Celebration.
It speaks to my heart and puts the Christmas season into perspective.
