Worry & fear are constant struggles of mine.

Something I know I need to give over to Him.

And after a week filled with this struggle,

this song was just what I needed to hear this morning.

A good reminder of His promise.

Birthday Fun.

We celebrated Jyme Beth's birthday today.

(a little late, her birthday was actually the 18th)

(please continue to excuse my sad photos, as I have

still not been able to find my charger)

This is her St Patricks Day Tree.

We made little rings I saw on Martha.

Ate yummy food.

& Chatted.

And had cake.

the cake was not homemade.

My cake I made had a small problem

that turned into a bigger messier problem

and eventually I decide just to run to the store 

and hope to find a pretty cake.

not disappointing me.

And I got to use my blingy cake stand :)

I really enjoyed getting to hang out

with some good friends today.

Half Bath Makeover

We're working on our half bath right now.

It was in desperate need of an overhaul!

We took forever to decide on a color

and then settled on a $5 bucket of paint

we found in the 'unwanted custom paints' 

at Lowe's.  It was similar to what we had 

been thinking of getting, and it was a savings

of $18 bucks.

We've painted.

And now the tile is being done.

I chose a few nature shots from our Hawaii trip

to have framed for the walls.

Can't wait to have it all finished!

Happy Valentine's Day

... missing my husband today,

wish he had been here with us.

But, tomorrow he'll be back,

and it doesn't have to be valentine's day

for us to spend some quality time together.

The flowers that arrived at my house Friday

disappointed David when he saw the picture

and there was no balloon as he'd ordered for Kenzie.

So he called them.

they sent out a new bouquet and a balloon,

(he's still not fully happy about them)

But I Loved them both.

My dad is on business today as well,

so mom came out to our house

brought chicken Express, YUMMY.

We stuffed our faces.

We played with Kenzie

and watched the Olympics.

A pretty good VDay.

Yesterday while Dad was still here, 

Kenzie and I went out to Mom and Dad's 

to eat and shop.

And mom & dad had valentine's day goodies for us:

Our Loot...well mostly Kenzie's loot.

I LOVE my beautiful vase and the flowers in it.

The snow is starting to completely melt away today,

and I'm kinda sad to see it go.
