There will be a Day.

Worry & fear are constant struggles of mine.
Something I know I need to give over to Him.
And after a week filled with this struggle,
this song was just what I needed to hear this morning.
A good reminder of His promise.

Birthday Fun.

We celebrated Jyme Beth's birthday today.
(a little late, her birthday was actually the 18th)

(please continue to excuse my sad photos, as I have
still not been able to find my charger)

This is her St Patricks Day Tree.

We made little rings I saw on Martha.
Ate yummy food.
& Chatted.

And had cake.
the cake was not homemade.
My cake I made had a small problem
that turned into a bigger messier problem
and eventually I decide just to run to the store
and hope to find a pretty cake.

thank you Target for
not disappointing me.
And I got to use my blingy cake stand :)

I really enjoyed getting to hang out
with some good friends today.

On the paper.

And, the oh so much more fun
place to paint, on your tummy...

....and in your belly button, on your diaper
and don't forget both legs.

Half Bath Makeover

We're working on our half bath right now.
It was in desperate need of an overhaul!

We took forever to decide on a color
and then settled on a $5 bucket of paint
we found in the 'unwanted custom paints'
at Lowe's.  It was similar to what we had
been thinking of getting, and it was a savings
of $18 bucks.

We've painted.
And now the tile is being done.

I chose a few nature shots from our Hawaii trip
to have framed for the walls.

Can't wait to have it all finished!

Happy Valentine's Day

... missing my husband today,
wish he had been here with us.
But, tomorrow he'll be back,
and it doesn't have to be valentine's day
for us to spend some quality time together.

The flowers that arrived at my house Friday
disappointed David when he saw the picture
and there was no balloon as he'd ordered for Kenzie.
So he called them.
they sent out a new bouquet and a balloon,
(he's still not fully happy about them)
But I Loved them both.

My dad is on business today as well,
so mom came out to our house
brought chicken Express, YUMMY.

We stuffed our faces.
We played with Kenzie
and watched the Olympics.

A pretty good VDay.

Yesterday while Dad was still here,
Kenzie and I went out to Mom and Dad's
to eat and shop.
And mom & dad had valentine's day goodies for us:

Our Loot...well mostly Kenzie's loot.

I LOVE my beautiful vase and the flowers in it.

The snow is starting to completely melt away today,
and I'm kinda sad to see it go.
So one more picture, just because I can...

Thanks, my sweet Hubby!
(he's out of town this valentine's day)

I can't believe they actually got out and delivered today

(click the pictures to get the amazing full effect!)

yup, that's out my front door.
The birds were circling this morning, not sure of what to make of it.

I set my alarm for this morning, to make sure I didn't miss it before it started to melt.
i'm so glad I did!!!

Not sure what I expected to see...
But what I found outside my door
was Gorgeous!
I was in complete awe.

The last time Texas saw anything close was 1967 I believe.
And that was a few inches less than what we got yesterday.
It snowed for over 24 hours straight.

Ok. I'll get over it.  Maybe.

Snow Day.

Getting this much snow in Texas
multiple times in one winter
is Nutty!

(EDIT: 5:15 pm:There has been 14 hours of snow, so far and still going!!
I wish I could find my camera battery charger. Stupid move, made me lose
where I put things.)

And even though, I have pretty much
had my fill of the cold.
I Love love love waking up to this
wintery wonderland.

and sharing the wintery wonderland
with this precious face.
She did NOT want to come back inside.

....and as I type it is STILL falling.

Edit#2: 12:12am: And it's still falling!
21 straight hours of snow and I live in Texas.
I repeat, Dallas, TX.
I wish we could have a day more of it, to be honest.
It's so pretty, and we don't get snow a lot,
and snow like this, here... I've never seen it.

And yes, my perfect temp is approx. 78.9 degrees.
But for this, and when I don't HAVE to be in it
I'll deal with freezing temps. [for a short time]

Road Tripping it. Pt.1

Not long ago, Hubby had a business trip to San Antonio
Kenzie, Sister and I tagged along to see family and play.

We stopped in Austin and San Marcus along the way
(both on the way there and on the return trip home)

The backseaters.

Not long after.
Passed out.

Texas State Capital

Kenzie's first visit to the capital.

Pretty Sister.

Had never before noticed the hinges.
Glad I did, made my day.

Took a liking to these trees.
Yes the trees. I know, I'm odd.

This was what they looked like up close.
Reminds me of a giraffe.

Her Street.

Antique Browsing...

Cracker Barrel. Pig Out.

We did shop at the Outlet mall. But I have no pictures.

In San Antonio, visiting family.

Something Special

I'm standing on a fine line
between lazy and productive.

At moments,
the crafty adrenaline kicks in
and I whip out something real quick.

Other times I want to lounge
and cuddle with Kenzie
and do nothing.
Absolutely nothing.

And when I'm trying to get completely unpacked,
get the shop filled,
and work on something I've been praying about for awhile now...
Being lazy, just really isn't much of an option.
